Maybe you’ve started dreaming of homeownership lately, but you’re not sure what comes next. How much home can I afford? How much do I need for closing costs — and do I truly need a full 20% down payment? How does one actually obtain a mortgage? 

An Ellevest financial planner can guide you through the process of becoming a homeowner, be it three months or three years from now. Wherever you’re at in your journey, we’ve got answers (and some strong opinions on paint colors!).

To purchase or attend a 1:1 session or group workshop, you must be located in the United States, not including territories.

What to expect

  • An online intake form to list your current expenses and savings before your session
  • A 50-minute call with an Ellevest financial planner
  • Help deciding what size mortgage you can afford and how to look at mortgage options
  • Guidance on how to save for a down payment and closing costs
  • A follow-up email after your call with personalized resources and next steps

How it Works

After you check out, book your session right from the confirmation page. Choose the best day and time for your schedule.

Fill out a pre-session questionnaire. Your financial planner will use it to prep for your call so the two of you can hit the ground running.

When it’s time, your financial planner will call you on the phone.

After your call, they will follow up with action steps, resources, and info to help you use them.
